I did promise to talk about the recent Cannes Advertising Festival whilst it was still just a fading memory for most of us but have decided to chat about a recent soiree I attended here in the UK.

Why you ask? Well because occasionally when you do get to talk to a likeminded bunch of creatives ala digital evangelists from all manner of companies and fields something usually comes up in conversation that makes your extra senses say ‘hello now I’m interested’.
So when I descended into a rather nice restaurant in town for a chinwag and a chance to share my views on anything and everything digital I was surprised to hear that we were all practically singing off the same proverbial song sheet! well not quite! but within reason. We did debate everything that is advertising from digital through to mobile and gaming and back again, from past experiences through to the best on the web but ultimately the resounding message was the same; Inspire and be inspired – question anyone that has knowledge to share and question anyone who has knowledge to hide because within them lies a golden nugget that can be polished into something truly remarkable.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and certainly wasn’t built by one man, but a team of passionate, driven, dedicated and focused individuals.
With that thanks to the hosts for reminding me; sometimes we get so engrossed in our day to day lives we forget to think outside the bubble we live and breathe in. Remember to share your ideas and thoughts with those around you and in return they will share theirs.
